'Allah! No divinity other than Him, the Living One who eternally watches over the smooth running of everything. Neither drowsiness nor sleep seizes Him. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth. Who can intercede with Him without His permission? He knows all of their past and all of their future. And they only know of his knowledge what he wants. His throne (Kursî) overflows the heavens and the earth, the keeping of which costs Him no trouble. And He is the Most High, the Most Great. ''

Allâhu lâ ilâha illâ huwa-l-hayyu-l-qayyûm. Lâ ta'khudhuhu sinatun wa lâ nawm, lahu mâ fî s-samâwâti wa mâ fî-l-ard. Man dhâ l-ladhî yashfacu cindahu illâ bi-idhnihi. Yaclamu mâ bayna aydîhim wa mâ khalfahum. Wa lâ yuhîtûna bi-shay'in min cilmihi illâ bi-mâ shâ'a. Wasica kursiyyuhu s-samâwâti wa-l-ard. Wa lâ ya'ûduhu hifzuhumâ, wa huwa-l-caliyyu-l-cazîm.

Imâm Ibn Kathir (rahimahullâh) said in his commentary (Exegesis / Tafsîr) of this verse: “The verse of the throne (Ayat al-Kursî) is of great importance. Indeed, according to an authentic hadîth (Sahîh), the Messenger (SAW) says that it is the best verse of the Book of Allah.

Abu Hurayra reported that the Envoy of Allah (sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) said: "In sura" The Cow "there is a verse (Ayat al-Kursî) which is the Head of the Verses of the Quran, it is not recited in a house without the demon leaving it. "
